About Us

Setting The Standard In Performing Arts Since 2003.

Originally established in Sussex, the Birmingham school was opened in May 2013.

The school has raised the bar in the Midlands with a reputation for excellence and innovation in performing arts training. The school is open to all young people aged 6 to 18 years.

A professional team of teachers, all established performers themselves – run weekly workshops in all aspects of theatre, TV and film, singing and dance. Our unique classes prepare students for regular professional and amateur performances, exams, festivals and auditions.

If you have a burning desire to perform, want to find some confidence and meet new friends, while being trained by the most inspiring teachers out there – The Theatre Workshop is for you!

Students in the Birmingham schools have already made great progress in securing professional work within the industry due to our links with a leading children’s agency. These include Kinder Egg advert, Startrite shoes advert, Fiddler on the roof UK Tour, Annie get your gun UK Tour, Jesus Christ Superstar UK Tour , Fort Dunlop Campaign, BHS Summer Campaign, Winner of Monologue Slam UK 2014 & 2015 , Ellen Kent Ballet & Opera Tours, Anchor Butter Advert, Lexus Car Advert, Various CBBC Programmes.

Due to popular demand and the continuing success of our Birmingham students a second school has been opened in the afternoon.

Our student’s have also performed at Birmingham Christmas lights switch on, Sutton Carnival, 10 year Anniversary Concert at the Brighton Dome, Christmas Lights at Highbury Hall, Jingle Bell Jog, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice Light up a Light Event. In December 2015 we recorded a Charity EP which we professionally recorded with the Birmingham Conservatoire – all the proceeds for the EP were donated to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.

The schools in Birmingham are managed by Suzy Bleasdale who trained at Betty Fox Stage School as a child and was a member of BMOS Youth Theatre. Suzy has been choreographing for Youth Onstage for many years.

Birmingham Schools work in partnership with West End Experience for their summer school activities. Every day the students will study songs, dance routines and scenes from a different West End show, with a cast member from that show. They only work with the very best professional actors, choreographers, dance captains and musical directors to make sure you get a one in a lifetime experience you will never forget!
